Accessibility at Hollies Farm Bed and Breakfast

Due to Hollies Farm being built in the 17th century we cannot offer our mobility-impaired guests total access to our home, as we would wish.  The information given may help in assessing your decision to stay with us.
We do not want any one to book a visit that is unlikely to suite and we offer our best advice to all prospective guests.  Please ask before booking if you are at all doubtful or have any particular needs that you would like us to know about i.e., dietary or disability requirements.  Assistance with luggage is available.

Ample parking is available in the drive in front of the house, which is a hard surface.  A small 7cm step allows access through the front door 82cm wide and into the hallway.

The ground floor is on one level giving access to the dining room, door is76cm wide. Access to the garden is via the front door around a concrete path to the lawns where there is seating available.
All accommodation is on the first floor via an 84cm wide staircase comprising of11 steps. All steps are 18cm tall and 23cm deep.  There is a handrail on the left hand side.

The double family room has en-suite facilities comprising of WC, washbasin and shower cubicle. The washbasin and WC are standard eight and the shower has a step into the cubicle of 20cm.

There are 3 steps into the bedroom from the family/sitting room with a handrail on the right.  The steps are 20cm tall and 23 cm deep.

The beds are 50cm off the ground.  Each bed is provided with a top sheet and continental duvet with blankets also available, there are sufficient pillows for 2 pillows per person and additional pillows are available in wardrobe, the pillows are polyester and cotton.
The room is provided with a hairdryer, clock radio, colour television in each room, tea/coffee making facilities and silent running fridge.

Information in the room is available in large print. Most mobile phone networks work in the area. For your safety the house is fitted with a radio link remote control smoke alarm system.  Please do ask for further information, as we are aware that every person has different needs and only you are able to decide to what extent we can accommodate your specific needs.
