Little Ness is situated midway between Oswestry and Shrewsbury and within easy reach of Telford, Chester and mid Wales.  There are six Nation Trust Properties close by including Attingham Park and Chirk Castle.  Many local gardens and specialist plant nurseries to visit.  Also several Nature sites of historical interest e.g., Whixall moss Llanymynech lime workings, Hawkstone Park Follies and Snailbeech Lead mines and not forgetting the Longmynd with over 30 miles of footpaths for you to explore.Hollies Farm Little Ness

Nesscliff Country Heritage Park is just a short walk away, where you can see the remains of a Roman Fort and visit the cave of the notorious highwayman Humphrey Kynaston.  The hill fort is full of wild life, badgers, bats and buzzards, you may even catch a glimpse of a Golden Oriole, and on a summer evening many rare moths can be seen on the cliffe, which is an area of upland heath adjacent to the country park

The village of Little Ness is about half a mile down the lane from the Hollies, the lovely little Norman church has a magnificent rood screen and beautiful stained glass windows.  One window is in memory of Maurice Derby, an officer who died in the Great War; he was a member of the famous Derby family of Coalbrookdale, the first iron masters
